*All barrels now come dimpled for a gas block

*All material going forward is Mil-Spec 11595E 4150CMV Steel

*Selection for twist rate will reveal a Wylde chamber or 5.56 NATO chamber. The Wylde chamber was designed as a match grade chamber for the .223 Remington, which still allows for safe operation of 5.56 NATO ammunition.

The options are for twist rate and for installing a pinned low profile Black River Tactical gas block. If you choose the gas block  service, we dimple the barrel to align the knurled set screws perfectly with the gas block/port, then drill and install a steel coil pin to hold the gas block in place semi-permanently. There is no risk of the gas block coming loose during use when pinned.

Top quality U.S. made barrel. Not everyone needs a $300 barrel. Chrome moly barels have shown to last thousands and thousands of rounds. Unless you are in the military and/or shoot many competitions, this barrel may be for you. Barrels either have a Wylde chamber or 5.56 NATO chamber (see drop down menu for specifics). We feel these barrels are the best bargain on the market, which is why we offer a no questions asked refund within 15 days if you are not satisfied. Choose your desired twist rate. 1:7 typically stabilizes 45gr to 85gr, 1:8 stabilizes approx 45 to 80gr+ and 1:9 45gr to 75gr. These are approximations, and every barrel is different.

Purchased this barrel during a 2014 4th of July sale. I finally got around to testing for accuracy yesterday. All I can say is wow! For a barrel of this price I was blown away by the accuracy. I tested with three different factory loads. With IMI razor core 77gr OTM at 100 yds I was seeing 5 shot groups under 2 inches with 4 rounds touching. 3 shot groups were also right under 2 inches. I also tested with ADI outback in 55gr Blitzking and 69 Gr Matchking. The 69 grain was meh, but 55gr load was also under 2 inches. Interestingly, this barrel shot all three loads to roughly the same point of impact. I paid $79.99 for this barrel and I am VERY impressed with this level of accuracy at this price point. I can’t wait to see what kind of results I can get with my handloads. (12/11/15)

As a NRA instructor I bought this barrel (1X8) with full intentions of abusing it and not cleaning it often. Its mainly for students to get familiar with the AR Platform. Ran a couple of cases of Wolf ammo and M193. The rifling is still good and every so often I check the accuracy . Buy it, beat it up and have fun.

    Ammo: Wolf 62 grain JHP (2 inches +1000 rounds), Wolf 55 grains (2 1/3 inches +2000rounds), M193 (2 inches +700rounds)
Gas system: Adams Arms Piston kit (I chose carbine length because I want the extra gas to cycle anything)
    Rail: Magpul Moe non free-float
Optics: EOTech XPS3-0 with Vortex 3X magnifier
